We do not see development and operations as separate functions. As part of our team, you will have full ownership across the entire lifecycle — from design and development to deployment and running what you build in production.

As an experienced Backend Software Engineer, you mentor others, promote knowledge sharing, and follow strong engineering practices across testing, security, operations, and documentation. You are comfortable designing scalable solutions aligned with architectural guidelines.

You are comfortable challenging existing approaches, focus on quality, scalability, and cost efficiency, and work both independently and collaboratively to continuously improve the platform.

Additional Required Competencies

• 5+ years of experience as a Back-end Software Engineer.

• Experience developing production code in Java 11+.

• Strong hands-on AWS experience (e.g., Lambda, EC2/ECS, SNS/SQS, IAM, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, API Gateway).

• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD in production.

• Practical experience with JUnit and Test-Driven Development.

• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments with full lifecycle responsibility (DevOps as a way of working).

• Experience with Git and certificate lifecycle management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Beneficial Competencies

• Experience with Python, Golang, Spring Boot, or Maven.

• Understanding of security principles.

• Relevant backend or cloud certifications.

• Experience working in international and cross-functional teams.

• Proven ability to thrive in flat organizational structures with minimal hierarchy.

• Background in working for global companies with diverse teams and cultures.
  

Way of working 

The work location for this role is our office in central Bangalore, India. At WirelessCar we believe in a hybrid work setup, with possibilities to work both from home and from the office. 

As a developer, you will be part of a newly formed cross-functional DevOps team, contributing across the full lifecycle — from design to deployment — with strong ownership in a dynamic, large-scale delivery environment.
